I really love all of those hidden ways there are to teach my kids something when they don’t even know they’re learning. Finding learning opportunities in everyday things is a big part of why I created The Trip Clip.

Week 48: Write Your Christmas List

This is the sneakiest way ever to get your kids to do some writing practice. Have them write their Christmas List! To encourage good handwriting, especially for younger kids, you can print out some blank templates for them to use. Tell them to do their best work to be sure Santa can read it!

If you want to inspire more creativity, try the version with the area for drawing a picture. They can even create a little book with a picture and a sentence for each thing they want on their list. Santa will love it.

For even younger kids, you can use the letter tracing activity. Have them dictate their list to you. You can use the Custom Letter Tracing feature to print out their list for them, and then have the trace each letter so that the list then send to Santa is in their own handwriting.
