Week 18 Free Printable: Summer Vacation Rules

Each week in 2018 I will post a free printable on my blog that you can print and use as many times as you want with your own family.

Setting up house rules for screen time is a great way to help make sure your kids don’t spend their entire summer in front of a screen – or worse, spend it arguing with you about how much screen time is too much.

Try setting up Summer Vacation Rules and then posting them someplace visible to everyone to make your expectations for your kids clear. Here’s a great starting point:Picture checklist of summer vacation rules for kids

Edit this list

These may not be quite right for your family, so you can also easily edit this list using The Trip Clip website.  You can add more items, remove items, and even change the pictures or the text.

Take some time to think about exactly what’s important to you, and what best meets your family’s values. If done carefully, this simple list can make a huge difference by setting the tone for how your kids will spend their summer days.  If you try it – share your stories in the comments below. Did it work with your kids? Also send me your family’s list at molly@thetripclip.com and I’ll collect them and share them to give others ideas for what good rules might be!
