A picture packing list is a great way to help kids of all ages pack themselves for your next trip. You’ll probably want to provide some oversight to make sure you don’t land in Hawaii without a swim suit (true story) or go on a road trip without a charger for the Nintendo DS (also a true story – he figured since it was fully charged when we left the house he would be all set for the 2 week trip). But with a picture packing list, your job can be oversight instead of packer. It is truly freeing to hand the list to your kids and let them run all over the house collecting, counting, and organizing the things they’ll need for your trip while you focus on your own list. And there are are lots of great lessons to be learned while packing for a trip!
