These two checklists work wonders with my kids. Before we had these, I had to keep track of who had done what, remember what else still needed doing, and then remind both kids each step of the way of what they needed to do next. We did this in the mornings getting ready for school, and repeated it again after school.

A solid morning routine can make a world of difference when you're trying to get the kids out the door for school every morning. This picture list is simple, nice to look at, and works well for kids of all ages. I used one with my kids until they were around 10 or 11 and could remember all of this on their own. You can print this as is for free, or edit it to make it just right for your family.Use a weekly routine to get through those tough after school hours. It empowers your kids and can even help parents keep track of a kid's busy schedule!

Now I only need to remember one thing, and ask one question: Are you done with your list? And the best part is, the kids really love these lists. They feel in control – they don’t want to be nagged any more than I want to be nagging them.
